Today, we welcomed a new bunny into our rescue. Kobe, a four-year-old Holland Lop, was surrendered by his owners who could no longer provide for him. He's now safe with us and will soon be paired with a companion, with the hope of finding a permanent home. Kobe is incredibly sweet; he enjoys hopping around, hiding in his little house, scurrying through his tunnel, navigating his ramp, and digging to his heart's content.
Sir Hopsalot got Neutered!

It may not be headline news for everyone, but for us, it's a big deal! Sir Hopsalot was discovered alone, frightened, and hungry in a neighborhood. A kind woman found him, brought him out of the cold, and searched for his owner to no avail. She cared for him temporarily but eventually reached out to us. When we took him in, he appeared downcast yet hopeful, as if yearning for a joyful, everlasting home—which we aimed to provide. We took him to the vet for a microchip scan, which he lacked. At home, we noticed he had ringworm on his ears and head, as well as various small bumps across his body, and he was unneutered. Concerned about anesthesia due to his age, we cautiously proceeded. After treating his ringworm and arranging for neutering, thanks to our donors' support, we had him thoroughly checked. The vet cleared him for surgery, finding no issue with his minor bumps. Post-surgery, Sir Hopsalot is now content and soon to be paired with a female companion or two. Hopefully, our senior bunny and his new friends will soon find a forever home with someone who understands that "age is just a number."
